Brita lives and works on the occupied territory and ancestral lands of the peoples of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) Nation and the peoples of Susquehannock Nation lands. Brita stands against racism, oppression, and abuse culture. Her therapeutic approach infuses an eclectic perspective, humanistic style, and person-centered focus to honor and respect a client’s experiences and needs.  Aiming to deepen awareness in personal potentials within the self and community, Brita works along-side clients to encourage positive self-esteem and identity, offering opportunities to cultivate authentic joy within the client’s life.

Brita’s therapeutic style facilitates personal growth, transformation, and offers opportunities to nurture an authentic sense of belonging and resiliency. Brita’s focus is to bring a conscious understanding of the therapeutic healing process by using deep awareness in trauma informed care through sharing in cultural sensitivity. Her motivation is to improve self-efficacy while encouraging, adapting to, and supporting a client’s unique and specific needs.

Her specialties reflect her clinical counseling experience in anxiety and depression disorders, emotional regulation challenges, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, the neurodivergence spectrum, and mourning grief and loss. Recognizing the diversity of intersectional identities Brita specializes in supporting clients with self-esteem and identity issues, and ending stigmas on mental health, social justice, LGBTQIA+, and women’s issues.

A part of Brita’s healing dream is to offer opportunities to explore and express the layers of the self and the natural world by providing a creative space for individuals, groups, and communities to consciously connect to the roots of what it is that is meaningful.
