Sandra (Sandy Ancas) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of PA. She also is a Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work which is an advanced practice certification.  Sandy completed her Bachelors Degree at University of Scranton and her Masters Degree in Social Work from Marywood.

Sandy has over 40 years of practice experience in Luzerne County with various counseling roles ranging from Drug and Alcohol therapist to Individual Marital and Family Therapist as well as Clinical Supervisor of a substance abuse facility. She also was an Adjunct faculty member of Marywood University    Graduate Social Work Department for 10 years. She facilitated graduate classes in substance use disorders as well as Advanced Social Work Practice.  Recently she retired from the VA Hospital after 10 years of service. She did complete three EBT programs which required 6 months of supervision for each certification. They were CPT Cognitive Processing for Trauma CBT Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for substance use disorders and PST Problem Solving Therapy.

Sandy provides counseling with a trauma informed foundation which includes Strengths Based and Empowerment perspective. She enjoys working with a variety of adults ranging in age from 18 and older to assist them in making healthy decisions for themselves.
